English: These are the questions that I assigned in class. If you did not get them finished please finish them for Monday as a rough answer at least. We will be choosing one of these questions to build on next class when we work on writing good paragraphs. These questions will help you get your head around the content, while next class we will look at structure and formatting.
Due on 2017-10-16
English: Please have your 'Paragraph Hamburger' completed for 'Penny in the Dust'. Your paragraph should answer the question: "Identify and discuss symbolism in the story using specific examples from the text to support your answer"
Due on 2017-10-19
English: Using the Curse of Polyphemus story, your task is to re-tell the story in 6 comic panels. You can include speech or captions if needed, but it should be the 6 key points of the story being told. Someone who has not read the story should be able to understand what happened from looking at your comic strip. You cannot add extra panels since the key is to find the 6 important points needed to tell the story.
Due on 2017-10-25
English: These 2 questions need to be submitted along WITH your "Curse of Polyphemus in 6 Panels" assignment that was due this week. Staple them together and submit BOTH to me tomorrow. We do not have class tomorrow so you need to submit it to the office.
Due on 2017-10-27
English: This is the question set that I mentioned in class. It is very similar to the questions on the Curse of Polyphemus and I am looking for the same sort of well-written paragraph to answer. The content is different by my expectations for how you answer are the same! I will be available on Monday at lunch for a tutorial or help session if you want some guidance on how to handle these questions. I can also take a look at your answers before you submit at this time if you like.
